Gender Senstization Training Launch for Taxi and Bus drivers in Noida, 2017


On 3rd June, 2017, Manas Foundation extended the reach of its 'Gender Sensitization' Training Programme, “Barabari ki Dagar, Surakshit Safar”, to taxi drivers of Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida). The programme was launched with auto drivers of Noida last year, in March. Since then, approximately 8,000 auto drivers have undergone gender sensitisation training, and the programme aims to sensitise all the 5000 taxi drivers registered in the jurisdiction of Noida Authority. The launch of the programme was held at the Community Centre, Sector 33, in the auspicious presence of Ms. Preeti Bala Gupta, Addl. SP (Crime) Gautam Budh Nagar. General Manager, Corporate Communications Mr. Amandeep Singh of the Indraprastha Gas Limited was also present at the launch, and shared a few words about the programme's journey so far. Barabari ki Dagar, Surakshit Safar is supported by IGL Limited, as its CSR Initiative to the community and is executed by Manas Foundation, Delhi. #ridewithpridenoida #safedelhi #manasfoundation
