Ms. Monica Kumar completed her M.Phil. in Medical and Social Psychology from the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore. She has been working in Delhi as a Clinical Psychologist since 1996. At Manas, she divides her time between clinical work, community work and teaching. Her area of interest is Family Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. She is involved in planning and formulating various community projects on creating awareness on mental health issues, for children and women. Additionally, she has organised several training workshops for fellow professionals, parents and students on different mental health issues.

Ms. Joysree Mukherji completed her Post Graduation in Psychology and a Diploma in Education for the Physically Handicapped from Bombay University. She has been actively working in the field of Special Education for the past 15 years. Her areas of interest include Autism, Pervasive Developmental Disorders and Learning Disability. She conceptualised and established the Learning Centre, Play school and Special School at Manas, which are now considered models in this field. As the In-charge of the Special School and the Learning Centre, Joysree plans and prepares individualised training programmes for the children there. She interacts extensively with schools, working with their special children and training their teachers and counsellors. She has taken many workshops with school teachers to enhance awareness about childhood disorders, and developmental delays.

Dr. Amiya Banerjee, Psychiatrist . |

Dr. Amiya Banerjee completed his Diploma in Psychiatry from NIMHANS, Bangalore and his M.D. Psychiatry from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. At Manas, he has contributed to the integration of psychological and biological approaches to mental health care. The patients treated by him are evaluated and managed in close collaboration with the Clinical Psychologist and the Child Guidance Team. In teaching, he helps the trainee bridge the seeming mind-body and Psychiatry-Psychology dualism.

Mr. Naveen Kumar, Counseling Psychologist |

Mr. Naveen Kumar has completed a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology and has trained in clinical situations under our Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Psychologists. His areas of interest include Psychotherapeutic interventions to address sexual problems and difficulties in personal relationships, along with Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy in treating Depression and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. Related to this role as a Psychologist, he is the Project Manager for several community mental health projects conducted by Manas.

Ms. Mridula Apte completed an M.Phil. in Medical and Social Psychology from NIMHANS, Banglore. She has been actively involved in adult and child psychotherapy for the past 13 years, and regularly conducts workshops on mental health in corporate and industrial settings. She is also involved in developing and implementing training programmes in Child and Adolescent Psychology for counsellors, teachers and practicing psychologists. Her interests also lie in research and preparing & planning community mental health projects at Manas.
